Baptism Class & Baptism Sunday
Our baptism class is a 30 minute class that takes place before our Sunday service at 9:00am. This class will help you understand the purpose and promise of water baptism. Water baptism’s take place the Sunday after baptism class during our 10:00am service. See below to sign-up for baptism class and water baptism Sunday.

How are we to be baptized?

Every baptism in the Bible was by immersion under water.

“…then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him. When they came up out of the water…” Acts 8:38,39

The word “Baptize” literally means “to dip under water”. The Greek word “baptizo” means “to immerse or dip under water.” We follow in Jesus’ example as He was baptized by being immersed in water.

“As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water.” Matthew 3:16

Who should be Baptized?

Every person who has made the decision to believe in Christ. “Those who believed and accepted His message were baptized.” Acts 2:41 “But when they believed Philip as he preached the Good News… And the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.” Acts 8:12 “Simon himself believed and was baptized…” Acts 8:13 The one requirement for baptism is belief in Christ!
We do not baptize children until they are old enough to understand and believe.

Can a family be baptized together?

Absolutely! If each person in the family understands the full meaning of baptism, and each person has made the decision to receive Christs salvation for their life, we would love for your family to be baptized together. It is a special time!

Can invite family and friends to my baptism?

Yes please! We would love for you to have all your friends and family there to celebrate with you.

What do I wear?

We will provide a black Raised To Life t-shirt, a changing room, towel, toiletries, blow dryers, doing our best to make it super easy for you on your big day! Be sure to wear dark bottoms, you can always wear a bathing suit underneath if you would like. A few extra things you will need are: change of clothes and any special toiletries that you may need.

When do I get baptized?

As soon as you have believed…dont wait! There is no reason to wait. As soon as a person decides to believe in Christ, he can and should be baptized. “Then Philip began with the Scripture and told him the Good News about Jesus. As they traveled along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, Look here is water! Why shouldn’t I be baptized right now? Philip said, If you believe with all your heart, you may. The official answered, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.” Acts 8:36-39 (paraphrase)

Who will baptize me?

If there is some who has been a significant person in your life and journey with Jesus, you can ask them to be a part of your baptism. They need to have been baptized already and following the Lord. Lots of people have their Connect Crew leader, volunteer leader, mentor, or friend baptize them. Not to mention we have a team of leaders and Pastors from Valley that will be there to perform the baptism.
